Product comparison
RowSure vs DocuClipper
DocuClipper is an established bank-statement conversion platform, and it got there by doing several things well. This page is an honest comparison: where they're genuinely strong, where the model differs, and the verifiable facts you can check yourself.
Credit where it's due
- They are a mature extraction platform. DocuClipper handles bank statements, invoices, receipts and other financial documents at substantial production scale.
- Broad coverage. They support a very large number of banks and formats — far more than we do today.
- Direct integrations. QuickBooks, Xero and Sage connectors are built in. We don't have live connectors yet — every deliverable RowSure ledger has Excel/CSV, while a green VERIFIED result also gets a QuickBooks-ready QBO/OFX file.
- Proven at scale and independently audited. They report 10,000+ finance teams and SOC 2 Type II certification. RowSure has neither that scale nor that certification today.
If you need a specific accounting-software integration today, or a bank format we haven't tested, DocuClipper may well be the better choice right now.
First, what is no longer a difference
DocuClipper does not merely publish a 99.9% field-accuracy claim. Its current product also checks opening balance plus activity against closing balance, compares extracted credit/debit totals with printed statement totals, and — when a running-balance column exists — checks the chain row by row and highlights where it first stops tying out. Its own documentation is explicit about those checks.
RowSure's narrower distinction is the workflow after that signal. It automatically crops and re-reads a suspect strip before presenting the result, labels exactly how strong the arithmetic proof was, and creates a file-linked SHA-256 verification record for every paid conversion that a third party can open without an account. Proof and Case can then chain balances across statements and assemble a case file.

Choose by workflow, not by a takedown
DocuClipper reports a 4.7/5 G2 score across 120+ reviews and offers a 14-day, no-card trial. It is the safer default for a team that wants direct accounting integrations, editable review screens, automations and an established vendor.
RowSure is the smaller, more opinionated option: a free arithmetic verdict before payment, $3 for one conversion or $9 for five credits that do not expire, and a public record attached to the output. Try both on the same difficult statement; the useful comparison is the evidence each leaves you with.
