For catch-up and cleanup bookkeeping
Years of client statements. One balance-checked workflow.
Turn bank statement PDFs into review-ready Excel or CSV, then check the extracted amounts against the balances the bank printed. A clean spreadsheet can still be missing a row; RowSure is built to catch that before the file reaches the books. Statements that reach green VERIFIED also get QuickBooks QBO and OFX.
Evaluating it for a practice? Ask about the bookkeeper pilot. Do not email a client document; the message form accepts no attachments on purpose.
Every document receives its own verdict. One problem never stops the rest of the batch.
The catch-up workflow
From a client folder to files you can reconcile.
The first hours of a cleanup job should not disappear into separating PDFs, retyping rows and discovering at month end that an export never tied.
Split the bundles
One PDF may hold several months or accounts. The free splitter returns one PDF per statement without dropping a page. It is unlimited, requires no account and calls no AI service.
Convert the batch
Drop up to 20 statements together. Dates, descriptions, amounts and balances are read once, then exported to the format that belongs in your workflow.
Check before import
Opening balance plus the extracted movements must equal the closing balance printed by the bank. Where running balances exist, RowSure can point to the first row to review.
The expensive failure
A spreadsheet that opens cleanly can still be incomplete.
On one public Unity Trust statement, a converter exported a tidy file with 39 rows. The source statement contained 44. Five transactions worth £3,916.83 never arrived in the spreadsheet, and the file itself carried no warning.
| What was checked | Result | What it means for the books |
|---|---|---|
| Rows in the statement | 44 | The source document is the control total. |
| Rows in the exported spreadsheet | 39 | Five transactions are absent although the file opens normally. |
| Balance discrepancy | £3,916.83 | The missing amounts explain the exact failure to reconcile. |
| RowSure verdict | fails | The file is stopped before an incomplete import becomes a bookkeeping problem. |
The document, outputs and arithmetic are published in the open benchmark. RowSure's own refusals remain in the same benchmark too.

Client documents
A short data path you can explain to a client.
- The PDF is sent over HTTPS and deleted as soon as extraction finishes.
- The generated files and result page expire; RowSure does not build a document archive.
- No advertising or analytics script receives a page view, document, amount or email address.
- An unreadable or empty document is refused and not charged. A readable statement whose arithmetic fails is delivered in red with the row to review, never as complete.
Read the exact storage periods, subprocessors and limits on How RowSure handles documents. RowSure is a conversion and arithmetic-checking tool, not an accounting firm; professional judgment still belongs to the bookkeeper.
Evaluating RowSure for a real workflow? Tell us what arrives from your clients and which export you need. We will answer personally and help you test the first batch. Do not attach a bank statement to the message.
Ask about the pilotOr test the arithmetic without changing tools.
If you already have an Excel or CSV from another converter, upload that file beside the original PDF. RowSure compares the amounts and tells you whether it balances — free, once a day, with no account.
