Family law · insolvency · financial discovery

The bank statements in a case file, proven — not just retyped.

A divorce, an insolvency, a dispute over money: the file holds months of bank statements, and someone has to turn them into numbers a court can rely on. Done by hand it runs 20–30 hours per case at forensic rates of $300–500 an hour. RowSure converts each statement with an arithmetic proof, chains them month to month, and hands you the whole matter as one review-ready case file — where every record can be checked by the other side, without an account, without seeing the transactions.

What you get, statement by statement and across the file

1

Every statement proven on its own

Opening balance, plus every extracted transaction, against the closing balance the bank printed — row by row where the statement prints a running balance. When it doesn't close, we say so and point at the row: a statement that cannot be certified is listed as such, never silently delivered.

2

The months chained together

The closing balance of one statement has to be the opening balance of the next. When it isn't — and every statement in that run has passed its own check — something is missing in between: a statement not produced, or one that has been altered, and the gap is named with its exact amount. Where a statement failed its own check, the file says that instead of guessing. Chains are grouped by bank, currency and the last digits of the account, which keeps different accounts from accusing each other — with one stated limit: two accounts sharing the same bank, currency and last digits would be read as one.

3

One case file to attach

Every record with its SHA-256 fingerprint, every chain, every gap, plus the method and its limits stated in full — a single PDF built for the file you're on. Each record stays independently checkable at its public address: the other side doesn't have to trust you, or us.

Where this sits in the market — measured, not argued

Prices below come from each vendor's public pricing page, checked on 20 August 2026. Tools without a public price are listed as such.

Bank-statement analysis for legal and forensic work: entry price for a single matter.
Tool One matter costs Model
Valid8 Financial Pricing on request Enterprise, sales-led
CounselPro $499 per project, or plans $100–500/month Self-serve per project; plans via demo
Thrive Financial $149 per case; $299–499/user/month for firms Self-serve
DocuClipper $111/month (Business plan, includes forensic features) Subscription
RowSure Case Pro $349 one-off — 50 conversions, the review-ready case file included Self-serve, nothing recurring

The bundle RowSure is built around is a record a third party can verify without an account, plus an explicit refusal to apply the strongest proof label when the arithmetic doesn't close. Our registry of proven banks and open benchmark publish the failures too — that's what makes the passes worth something.

What the case file does not claim — said plainly

The records attest arithmetic, not provenance: they prove the numbers tie out on the exact file examined, not who produced that file. The check covers amounts; dates and descriptions are extracted but not arithmetically provable, and two errors of equal size and opposite sign would cancel out — a documented limit of any balance check. Continuity means balance-consistent among the statements supplied: a missing statement whose transactions net to zero would not open a gap, so an unbroken chain is not proof that none is missing. The case file is a working paper for the professional who prepares the matter, not evidence that authenticates itself. We would rather write that here than have you discover it in front of a judge.

Try it on a real statement first

The verdict is free — drop a statement and see whether it balances before paying anything. Case Pro is one payment, priced for a single case file: nothing recurring, nothing to cancel, and credits never expire, so an adjourned case doesn't cost you them. The credits and the case-file export stay on your licence — we price it for one file, we don't meter it per file, and we keep no record of your matters.

Smaller matter? Case is $149 — 25 conversions, records and the continuity check, without the exportable case file. How the record itself works is on prove a statement; how missing statements get caught is on missing statements.
