Verified by arithmetic
The Balance Guarantee
Many converters lead with a field-accuracy percentage; mature products may also reconcile each statement. RowSure makes the proof level explicit on every result, and we only mark it VERIFIED when the numbers prove it — opening balance plus transactions equals closing balance, row by row where the statement allows it.
That lets us put our money where the math is.
The guarantee, in plain words
If a document we verified row by row contains a wrong transaction amount, we refund you — the current month of your subscription, or the one-off purchase (Single, Pack, Case or Case Pro) you used. No forms, no retention scripts. One email is enough.
Why this limited guarantee is possible
Field accuracy and per-document arithmetic answer different questions. A percentage describes performance across a test set; it does not, by itself, establish what happened on the file in front of you. RowSure ties the refund only to the strongest label: when every printed running balance closes row by row. When that proof is unavailable or the numbers do not reconcile, we say so and the document is not covered. The guarantee applies exactly where the stated proof applies.
This is a deliberately narrow policy, not a claim that other products do no reconciliation.
Not every “verified” is the same — so we tell you which
Some statements print a running balance on every line; others only print an opening and a closing figure. That changes what arithmetic can actually prove, so we label it on every result instead of flattening it into one word:
| What we show | What is proven | Guarantee |
|---|---|---|
| Every row proven | The statement prints a running balance on every line, and both its own opening and closing balances were read. Every single amount is confirmed. | Covered |
| Proven in blocks | The running balance is printed only every so often, so the chain is proven from one printed balance to the next. The block totals are confirmed; two errors that cancel out inside one block would pass. | Blocks only |
| Chain proven, not closed | Every step of the chain agrees, but one of the statement's own period balances wasn't readable — so we can't confirm the statement is complete. | Not covered |
| Total proven | No running-balance column, so we proved opening + transactions = closing. Two errors that cancel each other out would pass. | Total only |
| Period totals proven | Card statement checked against its own period summary; individual transactions are not arithmetically confirmed. | Totals only |
| No activity | Opening equals closing and no transactions were found. | — |
Across the 64 real statements this site reports everywhere, the arithmetic closed on 47; on the 28-statement public benchmark corpus, 24 certified (as of August 2026). The rest still get a verdict — just not the covered label: they get the honest label instead of a promise we cannot back. And even among the ones that close we distinguish further: the strongest label, “Every row proven” — the one the guarantee covers — applies to roughly half of them. Same word, different arithmetic; you get told which one you have.
What the guarantee covers — and what it doesn't
| Covered | Not covered |
|---|---|
| Wrong or missing transaction amounts in a document marked “Every row proven” | Documents marked NOT VERIFIED (we told you something was off) |
| A wrong running-balance chain that passed as verified | Dates and descriptions (extracted, not arithmetically verifiable) |
| — | Theoretical case of two errors that cancel each other out — a documented mathematical limit of any balance check, stated here because we don't hide it |
How to claim
Email hello@rowsure.com with the document's verification report. If you're right, the refund is issued within one business day. If you're wrong, we'll show you the arithmetic — either way you learn something about your statement.
